Yesterday, Republicans took their quest to rig the 2026 election a step further, by sending Vice President JD Vance to Indiana to announce another mid-cycle redistricting.

Less than a week after Texas Democrats fled their state to break quorum and stop Republicans from stealing the 2026 midterm elections, Trump and the GOP turned their attention to the Hoosier State, where Democrats hold two of the nine congressional seats.

(Indiana’s current Congressional district maps. VP Vance is urging Republicans to gerrymander the two Democratic districts out of existence, effectively disenfranchising millions of voters in Indianapolis and the Chicago suburbs.)

Indiana Democrats, including Reps. Frank Mrvan (D-Highland) and Andre Carson (D-Indianapolis) are fighting to make sure this doesn’t happen. Thousands of Hoosiers gathered at the Indiana Statehouse to protest Vance’s arrival, and they need our help.

JD Vance slipped into Governor Braun’s office through a back door, where they literally hid behind a black cloak for their meeting. Then he snuck out just as quickly as he came in. Republicans are hiding because they know what they’re doing is unpopular.

They could spend their time fixing Indiana’s crumbling healthcare or fighting out-of-control utility bills and grocery prices, but instead they’re choosing to rig the next election. They know the only way they’ll win is if they cheat.
