The Trump administration is giving some of the nation’s biggest polluters, like coal plants and petrochemical facilities, free passes to put more toxic pollution into our air.

President Trump is allowing more than 160 facilities across 40 states to dodge the clean air rules that keep us safe. There are two in my home state of Montana, including the Colstrip coal power plant. John, chances are there’s a free pass to pollute near you too.

EDF is fighting back against the Trump administration’s dangerous actions, but we need your help. Please join us in opposing these assaults on our bedrock protections for the environment and human health. Your monthly gift will make THREE times the difference thanks to the 200% match from two long-time EDF donors.

Your monthly support powers EDF’s legal team to continue uncovering the facts and going to court to demand accountability to defend environmental protections and health safeguards, including:

arrow bullet Mercury and arsenic standards to protect our communities from toxic pollutants that are associated with cancers and brain damage in young children. EDF is in court opposing the unlawful free passes to pollute that would allow power plants to sidestep these critical protections.

arrow bullet Limits on power plant pollution that save thousands of lives and billions of dollars in avoidable health care expenses. EDF is opposing a proposed rollback that would allow power plants to discharge unlimited amounts of carbon pollution into the air we breathe.

arrow bullet The science-backed determination that climate pollution endangers public health. Repealing this finding would mean more harmful air pollution, driving deadly and costly extreme weather and health impacts. EDF is in court demanding transparency from the administration.

John, we shouldn’t have to worry about our loved ones breathing dirtier air and our kids suffering a lifetime of illness due to toxic pollution.

Please start a monthly gift to triple your impact and protect what matters in the challenging weeks and months ahead.

Thanks for defending our health and planet,
