Friend, I know there's A LOT of news circulating about redistricting in Texas, so let me break it down.

A few weeks ago, President Trump demanded the Texas GOP give him five more seats in Congress. Texas Republicans responded by calling a special legislative session under the guise of passing flood relief ... and used that special session instead to blatantly gerrymander our map and give the president what he wants.

This is egregious. As a voting rights lawyer for over a decade, it's the most brazen attack on our democracy and attempt to just openly steal congressional seats that I've ever seen. 

And let's be clear, it isn't just about the maps: The GOP wants to use this to rig elections and then pass more bills that will rip away health care while cutting taxes for the wealthy. They want prices on everyday Americans to go up, while their millionaire and billionaire donors get richer and richer.

It's on ALL OF US to fight back. I’m running for Senate to root out corruption in our government and give Texans the representation we deserve – but I need you with me, friend. Early polls show me ahead, but my GOP opponents have already raised millions of dollars, and I'm counting on your grassroots support to help me close the gap.
