John,
Earlier this week, we hosted a small group of supporters to discuss the current status of abortion access, and key opportunities for impact this year and next.
Against the backdrop of the current federal government, the fight for reproductive rights can feel overwhelming—that’s by design! It was a balm to gather together and share more information about our 2025 and 2026 programming. Some key takeaways:
-
Momentum is on our side. From The Downballot: “Democrats are overperforming last year's presidential race by an average of 15.9 points across 33 special elections so far in 2025.” That includes special elections in deep red districts!
- The map is full of nested opportunities. States that have key federal races in 2026, like Michigan, North Carolina, and Arizona, also have critical state and local opportunities to build pro-choice power. These are the places we focus our programming.
-
We don’t have to wait until 2026 to act. In fact, we can’t afford to! Maintaining relationships with voters year-round and working to grow the tent through voter registration is vital to securing victories in 2026, and that work is happening right now.
We are an all-cycle, every-cycle organization, which means that we are constantly deploying the dollars we raise right back into reaching, engaging, and educating pro-choice voters where it matters most.
Right now, we’re finalizing our 2025 voter mobilization programs, and every dollar helps us reach more voters in areas with nested opportunities for impact.
If you’re able, please consider supporting this work with a donation of any amount.
We deeply appreciate your time and support.
With gratitude,
Maris Nyhart
