More than 3,000 mail-in ballots -- 19% of all votes cast -- disqualified by Board of Elections in New Jersey municipal election.

"Over 800 ballots in Paterson were invalidated for appearing in mailboxes improperly bundled together – including a one mailbox where hundreds of ballots were in a single packet. The bundles were turned over to law enforcement to investigate potential criminal activity related to the collection of the ballots. The board of elections disqualified another 2,300 ballots after concluding that the signatures on them did not match the signatures on voter records." (Real Clear Politics)

The mainstream media (and Twitter!) have criticized President Trump for highlighting the voter integrity concerns about vote-by-mail elections.

But as John Adams once said, "Facts are stubborn things" ... and those facts continue to line up in support of President Trump.

In one New Jersey city, 19% of all ballots cast were disqualified by the Board of Elections. There were concerns about:

• bunches of ballots "improperly bundled together," including one instance of hundreds of ballots bundled together
• ballot signatures not matching voter signatures on file
• voters who say they never received requested mail-in ballots
• voting fraud charges filed yesterday against a city councilman and councilman-elect, plus two others

The progressive wing of the Democratic Party seems likely to claim another victory.

"Left-wing insurgent Charles Booker on Thursday jumped to a lead over Amy McGrath, the establishment-backed candidate in Kentucky's Democratic primary who has spent 40 times more than her competitor." (Washington Free Beacon)

It's too soon to call the race (more on that in the next story), but it looks like another progressive candidate is on his way to victory, this time in Kentucky.

Charles Booker is now ahead of Amy McGrath, who had outspent her opponent 40:1 and had the backing of major Democratic leaders. In fact, McGrath's endorsements did include Elizabeth Warren ... until Warren reversed course and changed her endorsement to Booker just a few weeks ago.

This is a sign that the progressive wing of the Democratic Party is taking over.

"This week’s key primary contests in Kentucky and New York have provided yet more evidence that Election Day will last beyond the first Tuesday in November. In both states, the abundance of absentee ballots that did not need to be received by Tuesday is leading to lengthy delays in reporting of election results, putting campaigns in a kind of suspended animation." The state primary elections this week are still too close to call due to an increase in mail-in voting -- and the number of days after Election Day that ballots can be received and counted.

This is a preview of what is ahead in November. State officials are already warning that election night results may be impossible to call; instead, it may take days or weeks before the final calculations are complete.

Has Biden narrowed down his VP search to the final four candidates?

"More than a dozen people close to the Biden search process tell CNN that Biden has listened to that pressure: Just four women are reportedly left on Biden's short list, and three of them are Black." (The Week)

Supposedly Joe Biden's campaign has made a "short list" of four women for the VP spot. That list includes:

• Kamala Harris
• Elizabeth Warren
• Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, mayor of Atlanta, Georgia
• Rep. Val Demings, a Florida congresswoman and former police chief

Biden is not expected to announce his pick until August. But his advisory committee was due to give him their recommendations for a final selection list by early July.
