John, you’ve heard a lot from Team Hood over the past couple of months, but I wanted to take a step back and make sure you knew the man we get up every morning to elect as the next Governor of Mississippi: Jim Hood. He’s running to put working families first, which means:

- Repairing our state’s infrastructure
- Improving our public schools
- Expanding access to affordable health care

...and that’s just the start! Jim has big plans for our state, but when he makes a promise, he always keeps it. That’s just how he’s been his whole life.

Jim is a fifth-generation Mississippian and was born and raised in Chickasaw County. He’s served Mississippians for 25 years as a district attorney, special assistant attorney general, and most recently as attorney general. He’s won four statewide elections in Mississippi, and we’re ready to push that number up to five!

As attorney general, Jim recovered over $3 billion for Mississippi taxpayers by cracking down on corporate wrongdoers. If elected, he’s promised to govern the same way he lives his life: with honesty and transparency.

I talk to Jim nearly every day, and I’ve seen for myself how much he cares about every single person who calls Mississippi home. It doesn’t matter if they vote differently than Jim, or if they have disagreements with him on policy. Jim will talk to them, listen to what they have to say, and stand up for them and their family.
