This October, we invite you to be part of a powerful celebration of love, legacy, and lasting change.
Join us on Monday, October 21, at 6:30 PM at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles for First Star’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, an evening honoring the resilience of youth in foster care and the community that lifts them up.
Together, we’ll reflect on a quarter-century of impact, while fueling the future of our programs that empower young people through education, belonging, and opportunity.
Evening Highlights Include:
* Uplifting stories from First Star Scholars and Alumni
* A tribute to First Star Founder Peter Samuelson, whose vision has shaped 25 years of impact
* Special recognition of Emmy-winning filmmaker Shaun Kadlec for his powerful work on Possible Selves, the documentary that brought national attention to the voices of First Star youth
* Entertainment and live music by The Voice and American Idol contestant, Dreion
* Gourmet dinner experience
This celebration marks more than a milestone; it is a unique opportunity for First Star to honor its past, celebrate the present, and fuel a future of possibility.
Your presence helps us continue rewriting what's possible for youth and young adults who have experienced foster care.
