In last week’s Action Update, we discussed the long-term lies surrounding food insecurity in Gaza. With a key admission from the United Nations this week, we are able to delve even deeper into the international effort to frame Israel for mass malnutrition.
Corrupt to the Core
Earlier this week, the United Nations acknowledged that no less than 88% of the aid they had brought into the Strip since May had been looted. Just 12% of the aid of the United Nations trucked into Gaza during this past summer reached civilians. We’d say we’re shocked, but let’s be honest, this is totally on brand for the UN.
Israel seeks to return her hostages and defeat Hamas. The Jewish state has no desire or motivation to starve the people of Gaza, but Hamas does.
One need not take our word for it; just look at the facts on the ground. The UN has now admitted what we’ve all known, that “international aid to the Palestinians” is, nearly 90% of the time, just a euphemism for international support for terrorism.
While we’re at it, there are some other facts worth noting… In the wake of the international community’s inability to feed the people of Gaza, Jerusalem and Washington helped launch the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which has delivered more than 100 million meals since May. Moreover, so committed is Israel to outmaneuvering the institutionalized looting of aid by Gaza terrorists that the Jewish state has now taken to parachuting aid packages directly to Palestinians.
The Facts of the Case
So, the facts of the case are these: Israel has consistently tried multiple avenues for delivering aid to Palestinians in Gaza. The international community has consistently failed to deliver aid to ordinary Gazans, but rather has consistently provided that aid to terrorists. As a direct result of Western capitals lapping up the fiction that Israel has caused the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, the humanitarian disaster continues.
Every time an elected official blames Israel for the condition in which Hamas has put the Gazan people, such accusers are aiding and abetting the terrorists in the very act they condemn.
Israel has chosen to ignore the international community’s faux-hysteria and actually work to feed the people of Gaza while simultaneously working to bring the hostages home and Hamas to its knees.
Conversely, the international community has chosen to ignore the facts on the ground, the actions of Hamas, and the plight of the emaciated hostages, choosing instead to empower Hamas, regardless of the consequences.
Something’s Got to Change
Israel is being framed for Hamas’s intentional creation of mass food insecurity in Gaza. The Strip’s terrorists consistently threaten residents who accept aid from anyone but themselves. Hamas has weaponized food to maintain control over the population and convinced a willing world to blame it all on Israel.
Clearly, the situation is untenable. Empowered by Western sycophants, Hamas refuses to engage in anything remotely close to good-faith negotiations. As such, Israel is going to begrudgingly commit to a greater military presence throughout all of Gaza. Make no mistake; this is the least bad option.
Jerusalem, and her allies around the world, including your CUFI Action Fund Team, have said on numerous occasions that the war ends when the hostages are home and the terrorists disarm. We do hope one day soon the world will finally understand that reality.
In the interim, with your support, we will continue to report the truth, ensure our elected officials know the truth, and make clear to all that America’s Christian Zionists will not be swayed by the effort to frame the Jewish state for Hamas’s latest atrocities in Gaza.
Sincerely,
The CUFI Action Fund Team |
