President Trump is reportedly considering hosting the 2026 G20 summit at his Florida golf course, which would require world leaders to pay him tribute—literally.

Even if Trump decided to host the event for free, it would still generate priceless publicity for his Doral resort in Miami—and it would be yet another example of Trump’s use of the White House to line his own pockets.

Back in 2020, Trump wanted to host the G7 at the same exact location—but CREW put the pressure on, and he backed off.

John, this scheme would almost certainly violate the Foreign Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which prevents the president from accepting gifts and money from foreign governments.

But Trump seems to have no concern for the Constitution.

Last time Trump tried to host an international summit at Doral, he said the Secret Service preferred Doral for security reasons. But CREW got the records, and showed Doral was added to consideration at the last minute, undermining his claims.
