John,

TODAY is the last day of our 10-year anniversary fundraising campaign. A decade ago we set out to change the way people think about reproductive rights, to push for more and better, to create a world of increased abortion access and advance reproductive justice everywhere.

We’re trying to raise $10,000 in a month in honor of these goals. Chip in with $10 today.

I get it. The world feels overwhelmingly scary right now. I’m not going to lie, it is. Just days ago, a Trump apparatchik literally floated burning $9.7 million worth of USAID-purchased contraceptives rather than deliver them to women overseas. [1]

Let that sink in. Our authoritarian government would rather burn contraceptives than allow them to help women plan their families. They would rather spend $167,000 to incinerate them rather than let people have bodily autonomy. [1]

This cannot stand. We cannot become desensitized to these aggressive, egregious attacks. We must fight back.

This is just the latest in a long line of impossible to believe but true things anti-abortion leaders, groups, and politicians have proposed. They’ve also attempted to weaponize environmental laws, shaming grieving families who endure miscarriages along the way. [2] They’ve proposed making so-called sanctuary cities for the unborn. [3]

They won’t stop. We must make them. Give today.

It’s going to get worse before it gets better. But we will be here through it all.

For ten years and beyond.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson
