Hello John,

Last night a new poll was released by TVNZ. And while it showed that if their numbers were repeated on Election Day, Labour could still form a government alone, the gap with National has closed a lot.

Will you donate to our election campaign and help us cement - and then increase - our votes? <[link removed]>

YES - I’LL DONATE NOW <[link removed]>NO, SORRY <[link removed]>When I was appointed Campaign Manager, I said I'd be transparent with you all about our strategy. On this poll, there's a 12 percentage point gap between us and National, down from 30 percentage points in the previous poll. From a strategic perspective, that's still a significant lead - but the numbers have tightened, and that's a trend we need to reverse.

To do that, I'd like to increase our early advertising plans - to combat the big increase in negative soundbites and claims being made by the National Party.

But that requires additional budget on top of what we've already allocated for advertising. So I need your help. Will you donate to help us increase our early advertising spend? <[link removed]>

YES - I’LL DONATE NOW <[link removed]>NO, SORRY <[link removed]>As Jacinda said at the beginning of the year, we’re committed to running a positive campaign this election that’s focused on New Zealand’s future. Unfortunately, these messages are often harder to get out on social media than the negative ones we see from the National Party, so we do need your support in order to get the cut through to drown out their negative attacks. Please donate anything you can by clicking here. <[link removed]>

I'll be back in touch with an update soon on this, in the meantime, as ever, thank you.

Take care,

Hayden

Campaign Manager

P.S. I know we're asking you for donations a lot at the moment. Our Party depends on the generous donations of supporters like you for the success of our campaign, and that does mean I need to ask. But I will do my best to balance the number of updates and emails I send over the coming weeks! Thanks for being part of our team, Hayden.

A short note on donations:

John, recently our focus has been on helping communities through COVID-19. It wasn’t a time for political campaigning, but instead a time for concentrating on the welfare of our communities.

This was absolutely the right decision. But pausing our campaign meant we also put all of our fundraising activity on hold too. So now we’ve restarted our campaign, we’re asking for the help of supporters to help get us back on track.

We recognise that not everyone is in a position to make a financial contribution, and there are many other ways to support our movement. However, if you are able to, please click the button below to make a donation to our campaign fund today.
