The American Economy Is Back!

This week, America's economic growth shattered expectations. After years of reckless taxing and spending, we’ve returned to real economic leadership under President Trump. Our GDP is climbing as the American economy grew by three percent in the second quarter. Inflation is under control, consumer confidence is up, and wages are rising. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, American families are keeping more of their hard-earned money in their pockets.

This didn’t happen by accident. It’s the direct result of restoring fiscal sanity, slashing red tape, unleashing American energy, and putting pro-growth, pro-worker policies front and center. The economy is roaring back, confidence is returning, and the American Dream is alive and well. My colleagues and I are just getting started on fulfilling the people’s mandate, and the best is yet to come.

Congratulations Gary Boshears, The New Brenham Chief of Police

I would like to congratulate Gary Boshears on being named the new Chief of Police for the Brenham Police Department. Chief Boshears brings with him over 24 years of distinguished law enforcement experience — including key leadership roles in Lago Vista and Granite Shoals. His proven record of service, integrity, and community-focused leadership makes him an excellent choice to guide Brenham’s police force. I am confident he will make a strong and positive impact on the Brenham community.

As our Summer 2025 internship program comes to a close, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the bright, dedicated young men and women who served on Team McCaul — both in our district offices and in Washington, D.C. From fielding constituent phone calls and assisting with casework, to drafting policy memos and supporting day-to-day operations, our interns have made meaningful contributions and represented Texas well.

I’m proud to announce that my office is now accepting applications for our Fall 2025 intern class! If you or someone you know is interested in public service and eager to gain hands-on experience in a congressional office, click here to learn more and apply.
