Water Quality Data Request for Consideration in the 2026 Integrated Report

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality/Water Quality Division (WDEQ/WQD) is soliciting credible surface water quality data and other information to consider for inclusion in the 2026 Integrated 305(b) and 303(d) Report (Integrated Report).  The Integrated Report is prepared on a biennial basis, summarizes the water quality condition of surface waters of the State, and includes the 303(d) List of impaired waters requiring Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs). Credible data include scientifically valid chemical, physical and biological data collected under an accepted sampling and analysis plan, using appropriate quality assurance and quality control.  Refer to Wyoming’s Methods for Determining Surface Water Quality Condition (WDEQ 2020) on the Water Quality Assessment webpage under the “Guidance” tab for more information about credible data collection methods. 

Deadline:

The deadline for submittal of water quality data and other information is 5pm, Wednesday, October 1, 2025.  All data and information received by the deadline will be reviewed for consideration in the 2026 Integrated Report. 

How to submit data:

Data should be submitted using the provided Data Submission Template, available for download on the Water Quality Assessment webpage under the “Submit Data” tab.  This template was developed by WDEQ to improve and standardize the data submission and data review process while also meeting requirements of the Clean Water Act.  An example of a completed Template and an introductory video are also provided under the “Submit Data” tab to facilitate use of this template.

Training for Data Submission Template:

WDEQ will host a live training webinar on how to use the Data Submission Template on August 22 from 10am to 12pm.  Interested participants should notify Joanna Harter via email at [email protected]     The training will be recorded and available the WDEQ Assessment website after the training, under the “Submit Data” tab.
