The Lincoln Project

Friend,

Anybody else mark their calendar?

Today is Trump’s self-imposed trade deadline. And things haven’t been going great.

Remember when he said 90 deals in 90 days? Well, it’s been six months and he’s still at zero (and zero does not equal 90). Are we “great again” yet?

Look, we’re totally cool with this. Why? Taco, taco, taco.

Did anybody really think he wasn’t going to extend this deadline again? Did anybody really think that Donald Trump was going to stick to his word?

Come on. We weren’t born yesterday. Trump’s still too distracted by Epstein to actually do his job.

He’s kicking the Diet Coke can down the road again. But again, that’s more than fine. Because every time Trump does this, two things happen.

  1. Trump fails to deliver on ANOTHER campaign promise. MAGA voters aren’t gonna be happy.
  2. Trump appears weak to his base. A lot of people voted for this guy because of his “tough negotiation skills”. This isn’t helping with that reputation.

Yep, just another in a long line of failures for this failed president. Embarrassing, right?

When it comes down to it, Donald Trump simply isn’t getting the job done. And people who don’t do their jobs get fired. That’s exactly what we’re trying to do. Help us fire Donald Trump >>
