TAKE ACTION: Tell the Trump administration not to weaken EPA

 Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin are proposing to repeal all greenhouse gas emissions standards for fossil fuel-fired power plants.
 

There is a comment period open now, when we can make our voices heard. Tell Lee Zeldin and the EPA NOT to finalize this dangerous rule that will pollute the air we breathe, worsen climate change, and endanger public health.

Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin are proposing to repeal all greenhouse gas emissions standards for fossil fuel-fired power plants.

This rollback of Clean Air Act emissions standards would be extremely dangerous for both public health and the climate. The air will be dirtier, people will be sicker, and the climate crisis will continue to get worse.

There is a comment period open now where we can make our voices heard. Tell Lee Zeldin and the EPA NOT to finalize this dangerous rule that will pollute the air we breathe, worsen climate change, and endanger public health.

Carbon emissions from power plants are the second-largest source of climate pollution in the U.S., and it is contributing significantly to climate change. A hotter climate means more severe weather events like droughts, storms, and floods, more heat-related illnesses and deaths, and higher energy bills for consumers, just to name a few impacts.

Our country should be doing significantly more to fight the climate crisis, not turning our back on climate action.

We also know that weakening critical safeguards and pollution reduction measures would be harmful to public health, leading to increases in asthma and respiratory illnesses, especially for communities living near these power plants. 

The EPA should be prioritizing the health of our families and communities, rather than the profits of polluters. The deadline for public comments is coming soon. Tell the EPA NOT to finalize this dangerous rule that weakens the Clean Air Act, worsens climate change and endangers public health.
