Whatley has a record of doing and saying anything to gain President Trump’s personal favor — even if it hurts North Carolinians. It’s paid off for him so far, earning him the RNC chairmanship and Trump’s endorsement in this U.S. Senate race.

You know, I never really wanted to go to Washington. I just wanted to serve the people right here in North Carolina.
