Tonight marks our July end-of-month fundraising deadline, and we’re still coming up about $2,750 short of our online fundraising goal. At a time when National Republicans have already begun attacking me, we have to stay on track.

There’s a reason the GOP is so obsessed with me. Despite their best interests and millions of dollars, our grassroots community outlasted them in consecutive elections, and their votes are increasingly out of touch with our district.

Put simply, I’ve built trust with our communities. When you work as a local meteorologist for twenty years, you become intimately familiar with the problems a community faces. In Congress, I’ve used that trust to advocate on important issues from protecting jobs in our district to protecting services our community has earned.

And along the way, you’ve been there when we needed you most. Right now, we’ll need that same support as we weather another competitive election cycle. In the most competitive race in our state, every grassroots contribution will make a difference.
