Israel yesterday brought

270 aid trucks into Gaza, while only 200 trucks were collected by the U.N. and international organizations. Hundreds of trucks worth of aid are still awaiting distribution in Gaza.
Two more fuel tankers also entered Gaza, and 32 pallets of aid were airdropped into the enclave in cooperation with the UAE, Egypt and Jordan. An additional

The president's important statement comes as White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is

on the ground in Israel meeting with top leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Netanyahu and Witkoff reportedly discussed "the possibility of moving from an incremental and partial Gaza deal to a comprehensive deal," Axios

Witkoff is also set to travel inside the Gaza Strip to observe Israel's extensive humanitarian aid efforts, and the operations of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). After Witkoff tours Gaza and briefs the president, Trump

intends to approve a new humanitarian aid plan.
GHF has

now distributed roughly 100 million meals in just two months of operation, including more than 1.3 million meals delivered today alone.
While Israel works to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Hamas is prolonging the suffering of Israelis and Palestinians alike.
American leaders must demand Hamas immediately accept the ceasefire deal it rejected last week and increase the pressure on the terror group.
New sanctions on Palestinian officials
The State Department today announced that the United States is imposing sanctions on Palestinian Authority (PA) and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) officials, denying them visas to enter the U.S.
The sanctions come in response to the PA and PLO's attacks against Israel in the international arena and their continued support for terrorism, "including incitement and glorification of violence (especially in textbooks), and providing payments and benefits in support of terrorism to Palestinian terrorists and their families," the press release

"It is in our national security interests to impose consequences and hold the PLO and PA accountable for not complying with their commitments and undermining the prospects for peace."

Senate advances defense appropriations legislation
The Senate Appropriations Committee today

passed the Fiscal Year 2026 Defense Appropriations Bill and Report, including critical funding for joint U.S.-Israel programs that AIPAC lobbied for:
- $500 million for joint U.S.-Israel cooperative missile defense programs.
- $47.5 million for U.S.-Israel emerging technology cooperation, a $27.5 million increase over last year.
- $75 million for U.S.-Israel counter-drone and directed energy development, a $20 million increase over last year.
- $80 million for U.S.-Israel anti-tunnel cooperation, a $32.5 million increase over last year.AIPAC thanks Republican and Democratic Senate leaders for including this vital funding that helps save Israeli lives and ensures the United States is prepared to counter emerging threats.

Canada's Palestinian statehood announcement
Yesterday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that his country intends to recognize a Palestinian state at the U.N. in September.

said , "Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them. Oh’ Canada!!!"
As the Israeli Hostage Family Forum has

made clear , "The recognition of a Palestinian state before the return of the hostages will forever be remembered as a shameful, antisemitic step that renders terror acceptable as a legitimate means of achieving political goals."

released a statement condemning the "reckless" decision:
We note that Canada joins the U.K. and France in performative symbolism of seeking a solution in Gaza that includes freeing the hostages and Hamas being out of power while offering no viable path for that outcome. For months, the Trump administration, together with Egypt and Qatar, have tried to broker ceasefire deals only to have each offer accepted by Israel and rejected by Hamas.
What are Canada, France and the U.K. doing to pressure Hamas to change course? Where is their realistic plan to get Hamas to disarm and surrender power in Gaza?
Without answers to those questions, their recognition of Palestinian statehood only serves to reward and embolden Hamas, as evidenced by the praise they received from the terrorist group itself.

Joint statement condemning Iranian plots

released a joint statement today condemning "the growing number of state threats from Iranian intelligence services in our respective territories."
"We are united in our opposition to the attempts of Iranian intelligence services to kill, kidnap, and harass people in Europe and North America in clear violation of our sovereignty. These services are increasingly collaborating with international criminal organizations to target journalists, dissidents, Jewish citizens, and current and former officials in Europe and North America. This is unacceptable."
"We consider these types of attacks, regardless of the target, as violations of our sovereignty. We are committed to working together to prevent these actions from happening and we call on the Iranian authorities to immediately put an end to such illegal activities in our respective territories."
Sanders' anti-Israel resolutions defeated
The Senate yesterday rejected two anti-Israel resolutions brought to the floor by Bernie Sanders to block arms sales to Israel.
