“Do you see over yonder, friend Sancho, thirty or forty hulking giants? I intend to do battle with them and slay them.”

Bloomberg (7/30/25) reports: "The Trump administration is revoking approval for millions of acres of ocean to be set aside for offshore wind development amid an escalating attack on the renewable power source. The Interior Department’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management announced Wednesday it was rescinding huge swaths of ocean in the US Outer Continental Shelf initially set aside for the fast-tracking of offshore wind projects by the administration of former President Barack Obama, and expanded by former President Joe Biden. The move applies to more than 3.5 million acres of federal waters across the Gulf of America, Gulf of Maine, the New York Bight, California, Oregon, and the Central Atlantic."

"@Interior is ENDING special treatment for unreliable green energy sources, such as wind, to focus on more reliable, affordable sources in alignment with @POTUS’ Energy Dominance Agenda. This move is about responsible energy growth that works for every American!"

EPA Aims to Roll Back Major Obama-Era Climate Regulations

An arsonist in a field of strawmen.

Real Clear Energy (7/30/25) opinion: "Leftwing climate groups often accuse anyone who disagrees as being a 'climate denier.' But few actually deny that the climate indeed changes, often dramatically. The archeological record makes clear that the earth has warmed, cooled, experienced flooding and undergone a number of other climate-related upheavals through the centuries, long before human activity could be faulted. But groups like Climate Central identify the manmade practice of burning fossil fuels as the modern culprit. Any brave soul who dares to challenge the extent to which carbon emissions and greenhouse gases impact climate change is shouted down by the cult and buried under an avalanche of 'scholarly' papers produced by 'the overwhelming majority of the scientific community.' Fortunately, there has always been a segment of the scientific community willing to stand up to the mob and interpret climate data independently."

It's less impossible a target than Europe's disastrous climate goals.

New York Times (7/29/25) reports: "When the Trump administration reached a trade deal with the European Union this week, the tariffs got much of the attention. But the agreement also includes a remarkable provision that could more than triple the amount of oil and gas America sells to the European Union. Under the trade deal, the 27-country bloc says it will buy $250 billion in energy resources from the United States every year through the end of President Trump’s term. That’s a huge jump from the $70 billion it now buys, mainly in the form of crude oil and liquefied natural gas. Analysts say it would be almost impossible to meet that sales target. Nevertheless, the terms, even if realized only in part, could have far-reaching effects on Europe’s economy and politics."
