Our children and grandchildren are growing up in a very different world than the one we knew.
I’m not talking about the advancements in technology, but rather I‘m referring to the diminished role religion has been relegated to.
Many of us have watched society’s relationship with religion slowly move from positive and supportive to indifferent and uncaring to negative and dismissive.
For the last 10 years, life has been increasingly rough for people of faith.
There’s been a concerted effort by anti-faith activists to remove expressions of faith from all walks of life – our workplaces, our schools and our town squares.
No one has been safe from their hostility. Students, teachers and coaches, employees, small business owners and even pastors have been bullied, threatened and canceled for trying to live out their faith.
But there’s reason to have hope. Attitudes towards faith are starting to shift.

While there are many reasons to have hope for a more faith-filled tomorrow, we are still living in what Aaron calls a negative world.

- Lacey Smith and Marli Brown who were fired by Alaska Airlines for respectfully questioning the company’s support for the deceptively named Equality Act.
- Valerie Kloosterman who was fired by Michigan Health for seeking a religious accommodation from using biology-obscuring pronouns and referring patients for “gender reassignment” drugs and surgeries.
- Aaron and Melissa Klein who were fined $135,000 by the Oregon Bureau of Labor for declining to design and create a wedding cake celebrating a same-sex wedding.
The issues Lacey, Marli, Valerie, Aaron and Melissa are facing are the key issues of the day.
