Hi, John!
Last Saturday kicked off our 100-day countdown to Election Day — and whether we like it or not, what happens next starts now. Forget the headlines. Zoom in. There are more than 100,000 local and statewide races on the ballot this year. We are talking mayors, judges, school boards, city councils — the people deciding how our communities are policed, how our neighborhoods are funded, and yes, what our children are allowed to learn.
And while voter suppression is still very real — so is community. So is creativity. So is the culture we build when we look out for each other and keep showing up. So, if you’re wondering what you can do in the next 100 days — start where you are. Bring it to your group chat. Text your cousin. Pull up to a local city council meeting. Help someone check their registration. The power isn’t in any one person, it’s in all of us choosing to act, together.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the things that brought me joy throughout July:
✅ The new season of the Summer I Turned Pretty!
✅ Black women deserve equal pay, and these lyrics prove it! 🪙🙅🏽♀️💵
✅ #Nicolandria hive coming out on top!
✅ Forever getting in #GoodTrouble and honoring Congressman John Lewis while doing it.
