I feel like we were just saying 2024 was the most important election year of our lifetimes, and now, we’re in the same spot for 2026. Let me explain.

2026 is Michigan’s first opportunity to respond at the ballot box to the Trump administration and Project 2025: the Medicaid cuts for billionaire tax breaks, attacks on public education, cuts to environmental protections, inhumane immigration policies, withdrawing from the World Health Organization, and so much more.

The good news is that Michigan has a massive opportunity to respond in a big way. Michigan has an open Governor’s seat, Secretary of State seat, Attorney General seat, U.S. Senate seat, critical U.S. House seats, AND both chambers of the state legislature on the ballot in 2026.
