Friend,
The clock is ticking! Starting September 1st, we're kicking off our 5th Annual Elizabeth Frankel Waymakers Mileage Challenge, where we'll be collectively walking, running, or rolling 20,000 miles as a powerful act of solidarity with immigrant children who come to the United States on their own. Each mile we log reflects the journeys they have made across borders and continents in search of safety.
This year, we've gotten a record number of folks who are ready to #BeAWaymaker. We couldn't be more grateful for everyone who's signed up so far. That's why, we would love it if you would join us, if you haven't already!
Register by August 15th to lock in early bird pricing. If you aren't able to meet the August 15th deadline coming up in two weeks, no worries! You'll still be able to register later on. Once you register, we encourage you to invite your friends and loved ones to form a team and set up a page on our Runsignup [[link removed]] platform to raise funds.
Remember: every person we can sign up to contribute to our overall mileage goal will make a difference in the life of an unaccompanied immigrant child; and n ow more than ever, children and youth need Waymakers who will go the distance to champion their rights and best interests, making sure that wherever they land their voices are heard, they are safe, free from detention and with family in community.
Everybody and every step counts. Join us on this journey!
