John,
Earlier this summer, Congress passed and the president signed the largest cut to health care in American history. As a result, 15 million people are expected to lose their health insurance1 and 51,000 are estimated to die preventable deaths each year.2
Last week, CHN joined our allies for a 60-hour vigil to protect Medicaid.3 Here’s a photo of Meredith, our Senior Director of Public Policy, reading the stories of people who participate in Medicaid, sharing about how these devastating cuts to Medicaid will impact their families. And there I am, wrapped in the red tape that the brutal cuts just enacted will put between us and our health care.
And these 8,000 candles at the vigil were meant to represent the nearly 80 million people in America who rely on Medicaid―including 54 million older adults, children, and people with disabilities.
Right now, CHN and our allies are sending tens of thousands of messages to Congress, demanding they undo these harmful cuts, which are already hurting our communities. Not one single person should have to go without health care; not one person should die to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
Rush a donation to power our campaign demanding Congress reverse its devastating attacks on our health care and fully fund Medicaid and Medicare.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately:
Thank you for never giving up and holding Congress accountable to the American people.
In solidarity,
Deborah Weinstein
