Did you miss our latest webinar, "Immigration Justice Is Still Reproductive Justice"? Tune in now to hear from experts who draw critical connections between the ongoing attacks on immigrants and the fight for reproductive justice. Long before this moment, these movements have been intertwined, with both of them being grounded in the fundamental right to bodily autonomy. This conversation covers a range of urgent issues, including safe working conditions, access to health care, and freedom from state and gender-based violence, all of which are essential for immigrant families to thrive in safe, supportive communities.
As the federal government and Supreme Court continue to chip away at our basic freedoms, health care is on the chopping block– especially reproductive health care. One of our recent blog posts explores how these attacks are particularly targeting Planned Parenthood simply because they provide abortion. It’s critical that we stay informed about these efforts so we can organize and fight back.

Self-Care
Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.
Here are our self-care tips for July:
Get creative with your beverages! I'm a big fan of a mocktail (or fancy seltzer or plain old juice) to stay hydrated and make the day a little sweeter. Add some fizz to your standard iced tea recipe or reach for the exotic juice in the specialty section of the grocery store as a mix-in, getting creative helps you beat the heat with a tasty treat! – Shireen, Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President
Shift your perspective. Whenever I get tense at my desk, moving my body to literally change my perspective (such as lying on the floor, doing a downward dog, etc.) gives me a nice reset. - Annie, Senior Special Projects Coordinator
Make a morning ritual! Waking up a little earlier than normal and having a morning routine is so refreshing. I leave myself enough time to go on a walk, make a nice breakfast and enjoy my coffee before I dive in to the day. – Laila, Lead Organizer
See you next month!
