John,
Texas Republicans just unveiled the proposed maps for their latest redistricting scheme, and they’re talking openly about their goal to draw five new Republican-leaning districts to shore up their majority in the House.

In response, we’re asking everyone in the Swing Left community to [make a grassroots donation to the 3 to Win Fund to help give Democrats the resources they need to win in close swing districts that will decide control of the House.]([link removed])
There's a lot that's still uncertain about the maps in Texas, so you’ll be hearing more from us on this topic in the months and weeks to come. But here are a few things we do know:
- Trump and Texas Republicans are proposing making one of the country’s most racially discriminatory maps even worse.
- Trump is pushing Missouri Republicans to redraw their state’s maps, too.
- And some states with Democratic governors—like California—are exploring countermeasures.
Even with the uncertainty, Trump’s takeover in Texas could make it harder for Democrats to win back the House—while making it more critical than ever to check his agenda.
Republicans are making these moves in Texas because the House is a critical xxxxxx propping up Trump’s power, and they know that they’re in serious danger of losing control as things stand today.
That’s why it's more important than ever that we double down on winning the 25 swing districts on our 3 to Win map. These are the closest, most competitive races in the country that will determine control of the House in the 2026 midterms.
While Republicans may be unfairly gerrymandering the maps, our collective power is stronger. And early investments have the power to make an enormous difference in next year’s election.
[Can we count on you to make a donation to the 3 to Win Fund today so that the eventual Democratic nominees in these districts will have the resources they need to win?]([link removed])

As always, we’re taking this shifting landscape into consideration, and we won’t hesitate to expand our list of targets as needed.
We’ll be in touch with more soon,
