What. A. Month. Now what's next for The People vs Plastic? 👀
As Plastic Free July comes to a close, one thing is clear: the movement to end plastic pollution is more powerful than ever.
Scroll on to hear about the epic actions taken by the Ocean Activist community this month, and what comes next. ✊✊✊
Thousands took a stand across the UK for our People vs Plastic Week of Action
This month, communities everywhere came together to demand change. It was people power in action — and we made serious noise.
Here’s just some of what we achieved:
📣 15 plastic protests across all four nations of the UK
👩👧👦 2,121 pupils across 23 schools ran their own Trash Mobs
🍟 106 Million Mile Cleans clearing plastic and collecting polluter data
🤝 500 people formed a human chain along Penzance promenade
Every piece of plastic picked up, every protest attended, every voice raised — it's all part of the fight to turn the tide on plastic pollution.

Next stop: Geneva. We're taking your voices to the Global Plastics Treaty
Next week, we’ll be at the UN Global Plastics Treaty negotiations in Geneva, where the future of plastic pollution policy will be decided.
We’re showing up to:
🕵️♂️ Expose lobbying efforts by plastic-polluting corporations
🌍 Push for bold, legally binding action that cuts plastic at the source
📢 Make sure the voice of the people is heard loud and clear
This is a critical moment in the global fight against plastic pollution — and we’ll be there to hold decision-makers to account and stand up for the ocean, wildlife, and our future.
