Dear ,
The Senate just defeated two anti-Israel resolutions brought to the floor by Bernie Sanders to block arms sales to Israel.
These resolutions were rejected by votes of 70-27 and 73-24. We applaud the Senate for standing with our ally and for again stopping Sanders' efforts to undermine Israel’s security.

Bernie Sanders’ repeated attempts to block arms sales to Israel highlights the growing battle that our community is facing — a concerted effort by Israel's detractors to undermine America's longstanding support for the Jewish state.
Just last week, we saw this battle play out in the House, when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene offered an amendment to end U.S. funding for lifesaving missile defense programs like Iron Dome. Her legislation was defeated 422-6.
The defeat of these anti-Israel efforts demonstrates that bipartisan support for Israel remains strong. But it also highlights the growing attempts to advance anti-Israel policies in Congress.
We know our detractors are working to take the battle from the floor of the Senate and the House to the ballot box next year, seeking to elect more candidates who want to undermine the U.S.-Israel alliance. With the midterm elections rapidly approaching, we must ensure we have the political strength and resources to help our friends win and help defeat our detractors.
Thank you for your continued support for AIPAC and our vital work together.
Sincerely,
Jake Braunstein
Director of Policy Communications
