Friends & Patriot Warriors,

As you probably know, the Senate and House Committees on redistricting have been holding hearings for the past week, collecting general input on the idea of redistricting congressional districts.  The goal of mid-census redistricting is to change 3 to 5 districts from blue to red.  It is a goal of President Trump’s and Gov. Abbott has put it on the list of issues for the special session that is now happening.  The first bill to be filed regarding redistricting, including a suggested new congressional map is HB4.

The House Redistricting Committee announced today that they will hold a public hearing on Friday Aug 1, to consider HB4.  The Hearing will start at 10 am at the Capitol, in Room E1.030.  Click here to see the Committee Notice with all details.

So far, in the public hearings on redistricting, the democrats have flooded the witness lists, opposing the plan.  Their reason?  Racism, racism and racism.

We know better.  Voting preferences have clearly changed since 2020, and Pres. Trump’s election is proof that some of the current democrat dominate districts have changed.  There is an opportunity to change up to 5 districts from Democrat to Republican, thus increasing the Republican margin in the US House..

Mid census redistricting is perfectly legal and not totally uncommon.  NOW - WE NEED CONSERVATIVE VOTERS TO SHOW UP AT THE HEARING ON FRIDAY IN SUPPORT OF THE REDISTRICTING PLAN! Listen to Rep.  Nate Schatzline tell you why you should do this.

Please, please – if there’s any way for you to get to Austin, be there on Friday to testify in person.  Some of you live close and maybe could make it happen.  I know, I know, we all have lives, families, jobs, and other commitments, and we can’t just drop everything at a moment’s notice and whisk off to Austin.  But… showing up in person is the very best way!

We do, however have an alternative!  If you can’t go to Austin, you CAN make an on-line comment in support of HB4.  It’s super easy, doesn’t take more than a minute or two, and can be done at home in your underwear, if that suits you.  NO EXCUSES on this one.  Everyone needs to do it!  Click here for the form to enter an on-line comment.  You can make it as simple as you want.  “I support HB4 and the proposed redistricting map.”  Or you can elaborate and give your opinion.  You can complete the form any time between now and when the hearing ends, but don't delay!  Do it right away and be done.  The important thing is that we don’t let the Democrats outperform us!

Please reach out if you have questions about any of this.  We really need to rally the TTP army and send them into action on this issue.  I'd like to see thousands of TTP supporters entering on-line comments (and, yes, I can see who does and does not submit a comment or testify).

As I mentioned at the start of special session, things move very fast in the specials – this is just one example.  I know we are all up to the task!  Take action now, and let’s put more Republican representatives in Congress in 2026!

Thanks for Engaging!

Fran Rhodes, President
