The Red Sand Project puts a spotlight on this issue, and my staff participated by pouring red sand, allowing us to visualize those who have fallen through the cracks of our social, political and economic structures. Human trafficking is a real issue that’s happening right before us across Pennsylvania and right here in Montgomery County. This impacts everyone, and it’s our responsibility to bring attention to it and establish prevention methods, like my bill to regulate massage parlors or state Rep. Regina Young’s bill that trains hotel workers to identify human trafficking. When one member of our community is affected, we all are. You can help by spreading the message, visiting the Red Sand Project’s website or contacting state representatives and senators to encourage them to support these efforts that prevent human trafficking in Pennsylvania. | National Night Out from West Norriton Township Tuesday, August 5, at 6 p.m. Jeffersonville Firehouse, 86 School Lane, Norristown, PA Summer Concerts in the Park: The Large Flowerheads from Lower Providence Township Sunday, August 10, at 6 p.m. Eagleville Park, 100 Parklane Drive, Norristown, PA Music in the Park: Family Stages: Robin Hood from Upper Providence Township Wednesday, August 13, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Anderson Farm Park, Natural Amphitheater, 499 Hopwood Road, Collegeville, PA UP!
