Join us for an exploration of how states are leveraging the “state as a model employer” (SAME) approach to create and expand high-quality employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Together with the State Exchange on Employment and Disability (SEED), the National Expansion of Employment Opportunities Network (NEON) Community of Practice will host a webinar featuring state leaders from Arkansas, Colorado, and Virginia who will share how they’re using SAME practices to model accessible hiring, job development, and workplace support for people with disabilities.

This webinar will introduce the core principles of SAME, highlight implementation strategies, and explore how SAME aligns with and supports the Office of Disability Employment Policy’s mission to advance employment opportunities for people with disabilities across the country.

This is a must-attend session for state agencies, providers, and partners looking to build capacity to hire people with disabilities in state government.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, the National Expansion of Employment Opportunities Network Community of Practice (CoP) Webinar Series augments the technical assistance areas of knowledge building, provider transformation, school-to-work transition, employer engagement, and policy/funding alignment. CoP participants benefit from national subject matter experts who will present information and resources to support increased employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy the State Exchange on Employment and Disability (SEED) helps states and localities develop and adopt policies and best practices that advance the employment of people with disabilities—and strengthen their own economies in the process. SEED acts as an educator and hands-on technical assistance resource to policymakers offering a range of customizable policy tools that help leaders implement workforce development policies that tap into a large and vital talent pool.
