Submit your intentions, August 1, Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass offered by Cardinal Burke

Dear Friend,

This First Friday, August 1st, His Eminence, Cardinal Burke, will be offering the Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass privately, and the Holy Rosary – joining all the Rosary Warriors around the world, united in prayer, knocking on heaven’s door. 

Have you submitted your intentions that His Eminence will include in the Holy Mass this coming First Friday?

I want to remind you of the August 5 “Mass of the Americas” taking place at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You are invited to attend in person. If you cannot attend, the livestream link will be emailed before August 5.

~ Tuesday, August 5: Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco will serve as the Principal Celebrant of this Solemn Pontifical Mass celebrated in the Traditional Latin Rite. Cardinal Burke will be the homilist for this Mass, which will begin at 12:15 PM Central Time. The liturgy will feature Frank La Rocca’s acclaimed “Mass of the Americas,” combining Gregorian chant and traditional Mexican melodies, including “La Guadalupana.” This date is the patronal feast day of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome. In 2011 Pope Benedict the XVI affiliated the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe with the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore (Saint Mary Major) in Rome. On August 5, pilgrims have the occasion to gain a Plenary Indulgence. A livestream link will be emailed at the beginning of August.

The month of August is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. There are more significant Marian feast days than any other month. 

August 2 – Our Lady of the Angels and the Portiuncula indulgence

August 3 – First Saturday of the Month: Receiving Holy Communion in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary 

August 5 – St. Mary Major, Our Lady of the Snows

August 15 – The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

August 17 – Our Lady of Knock (new date) The historical feast day is August 21.

August 22 – The Immaculate Heart of Mary (traditional) / The Queenship of Mary

August 24 – Our Lady, Health of the Sick

August 26 – Our Lady of Czestochowa 

What does this mean for you? Plan more time to pray to Our Lady, requesting her intercession, for your family and this topsy-turvy world that has clearly lost its moral compass. Give the Blessed Mother your faults and shortcomings. Ask for a firm resolution to overcome them – the grace of discipline. Wasting too much time? Ask for the grace of efficiency daily. 

In a homily, Cardinal Burke said: “Our responsibility is, as Our Lady of Fatima teaches us so clearly, to transform the situation of the world and the Church by overcoming in our lives any sin and darkness, by daily turning to Christ and seeking to follow Him with all our heart.” Our Lady desires to take you by the hand and help you develop a deeper relationship with her Son, so that all fears, worries and anxieties subside.
