I’ve seen some real clowns in politics. But Michael Whatley? He’s a whole damn circus.
Trump hand-picked him to run for Senate in North Carolina against Roy Cooper because he’s the perfect lackey — no convictions, no backbone, just a mouthpiece for Trump’s lies about our elections.
Whatley’s made a career out of pushing the Big Lie. This is the same guy who tried to throw out legitimate votes in the 2020 election. And now Trump wants to stick him in the U.S. Senate.
But here’s the good news. Democrats can beat him.
Roy Cooper is running to flip North Carolina’s seat, and he’s got the backbone and integrity that Whatley never will. But he’ll be up against a MAGA money machine, and we’ll need a hell of a lot of grassroots firepower to fight back.
