This is not a drill: the Senate could vote as soon as tonight on Donald Trump’s judicial nominee Emil Bove – a man with a record so troubling that over 900 former DOJ officials from both parties have come out in opposition.

This nomination should have been disqualified from the start. Just look at the facts:
- Bove was part of Trump’s personal legal team, representing him in criminal court.
- He refused to say whether the January 6 attack on the Capitol was wrong.
- He wouldn’t even say whether Trump is limited to two terms.
- Whistleblowers have revealed that Bove led an effort inside the Justice Department to defy court orders – an outrageous abuse of power.
- And again: more than 900 former DOJ officials – Republican and Democratic alike – have publicly urged the Senate to reject him.
This isn’t normal. And it’s not acceptable.
The idea of making Bove a lifetime judge is so horrifying that even some of the strongest supporters of Trump’s first-term judges are asking the Senate to just say no.
If Trump and his allies succeed in putting Bove on the bench, they’ll send a message loud and clear: loyalty to Trump matters more than integrity, ethics, or the rule of law.
