Joe Biden's campaign has faced many questions about the $50,000 his son Hunter earned monthly from a Ukranian energy company. This spring, a Senate committee authorized subpoenas to investigate the issue more thoroughly.

But now the same type of questions may come on a different topic, as the Washington Free Beacon reports <[link removed]> .

As the Free Beacon reported: "The Biden cancer group's financial disclosures may raise new questions about whether the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee allowed associates to profit off their access to him."

[Apparently more than just former DNC Chair Terry McAuliffe are happy that Biden's in the basement.]

"Democrats who were once alarmed that Biden needed to do more are suddenly perfectly happy with a schedule that keeps him as close as possible to his Wilmington, Del., home most days. Only recently has he begun to make forays beyond his own neighborhood." (POLITICO <[link removed]> )

After a tough opinion piece in the New York Times (of course!) from Obama strategists, there was criticism on the left for Joe Biden's campaign strategy of sitting at home in his basement.

But now it seems that Democrats like the idea. It's been more than 80 days since Biden has held a press conference, and he's done few public events this spring due to COVID-19. But that hasn't stopped him from holding high-profile virtual fundraisers.

In contrast, President Trump has returned to the campaign trail with two large, in-person rallies since just last Saturday.

Eventually Biden will have to face the voters, and it'll be interesting to see what happens in the polls when he does.

The Democratic convention will still be held in Milwaukee this summer (albeit in August instead of the scheduled July), but it'll be at a scaled-down venue with plenty of satellite events across the country.

Not all the details are out yet, but it sounds like there are plans for the convention business -- platform changes, rule changes, and of course the formal nomination of Joe Biden to the Democratic ticket -- will happen online.

[The ground game of 2020 may be finally starting.]

"A Democratic-aligned group announced Thursday that it would return to in-person voter canvassing for candidates in seven states this weekend. Progressive Turnout Project (PTP) said in a press release that volunteers would be on the ground in a number of battleground states including Maine, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Georgia, Iowa and Kansas." Joe Biden's campaign has faced many questions about the $50,000 his son Hunter earned monthly from a Ukranian energy company. This spring, a Senate committee authorized subpoenas to investigate the issue more thoroughly.

After a tough opinion piece in the New York Times (of course!) from Obama strategists, there was criticism on the left for Joe Biden's campaign strategy of sitting at home in his basement.

But now it seems that Democrats like the idea. It's been more than 80 days since Biden has held a press conference, and he's done few public events this spring due to COVID-19. But that hasn't stopped him from holding high-profile virtual fundraisers.

In contrast, President Trump has returned to the campaign trail with two large, in-person rallies since just last Saturday.

Eventually Biden will have to face the voters, and it'll be interesting to see what happens in the polls when he does.

The Democratic convention will still be held in Milwaukee this summer (albeit in August instead of the scheduled July), but it'll be at a scaled-down venue with plenty of satellite events across the country.

Not all the details are out yet, but it sounds like there are plans for the convention business -- platform changes, rule changes, and of course the formal nomination of Joe Biden to the Democratic ticket -- will happen online.
