Just fighting against his destructive agenda isn’t enough. We also need to fight for bold ideas that will make our society and economy fairer for everyone.
Fully funding Social Security. Replacing the subminimum wage with a living wage. Enacting Universal Basic Income. Instituting a wealth tax. Abolishing the Electoral College. Reforming the Supreme Court.
When we survive the second Trump regime, these are the ideas that we must implement to not rebuild the status quo – but build a better future.
Now, none of these bold ideas will be easy to achieve. But they are necessary changes that will make our economy and democracy stronger and fairer.
