Dear John,
Head Start has endured months of disruption, from threats of elimination to delayed funding and the closure of regional offices.
As Congress prepares for its budget season, you can help defend Head Start and its critical impact on nearly 700,000 children in need.
Take action today, and tell Congress to increase funding for Head Start programs. |
Currently, the proposed FY26 budget would force cuts to services. Without increased funding:
-
Fewer children will access quality early learning and care
-
Parents may be forced to leave the workforce due to limited child care options
-
Recruiting qualified early childhood educators will become even harder
-
Vulnerable families could lose access to essential health, nutrition and wellness services
Discussions about the proposed budget are underway, making this the ideal time for your representative to hear from you.
Take one minute to add your name to our letter to Congress urging them to strengthen Head Start. |
Head Start has transformed the lives of millions over the past 60 years. The children who need it most – those facing the greatest barriers to success – are counting on us to ensure this program continues.
Thanks for coming #TogetherforHeadStart
