The Poynter Institute is celebrating 50 years of championing journalism, truth and democracy, and we want you there for this milestone moment. Join us for an evening of connection and celebration as we honor three journalism and media legends:
• Jane Pauley, of CBS Sunday Morning, the acclaimed journalist, broadcast anchor and author, will receive the Poynter Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism.
• G.B. "Garry" Trudeau, Pulitzer Prize-winning creator of “Doonesbury,” will be recognized with a Distinguished Service to Journalism award.
• Dean Baquet, Pulitzer Prize winner and former executive editor of The New York Times, will also receive a Distinguished Service to Journalism award.
