It's Caroline. I want to level with you about what’s happened in just the last few weeks:
1. Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress passed a budget that slashed Medicaid and SNAP just to hand out more tax breaks to Trump and his billionaire friends.
2. Republicans voted to defund public media — gutting NPR and PBS, wiping out local news, critical emergency weather alerts, and educational programming.
3, And what’s next? We don’t know — but if the last few weeks are any sign, it won’t be good for families in CA-25.
Republicans are doing everything they can to serve Donald Trump and his rich allies at the expense of everyone else.
They’re outraising Democrats nationwide and pouring money into races like this one to lock down their control of Congress and clear the way to further Trump’s dangerous agenda.
We can’t sit back now.

The son of hardworking farmworkers, Dr. Ruiz grew up in Coachella, CA and learned at an early age that the key to attaining the American Dream is hard work and a great education. In the summer of 1990, Raul walked in the desert heat from business to business in the Coachella Valley asking them to invest in their community by contributing to his education. With each investment for college, he made a promise to come back home and serve his community as a physician. In 2012, he decided to take his service to the community to the next level by running for Congress. Dr. Ruiz needs our help to continue fighting for us in Congress.
