Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to "an immediate and unconditional ceasefire with effect from midnight tonight," Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced on Monday. Deadly clashes broke out on Thursday along the disputed border between the southeast Asian neighbors, and it only ended after both the U.S. and China brought pressure to bear. While the conflict underscores the reality that the world is growing increasingly dangerous, the speedy solution suggests strong U.S. leadership can effectively act to keep the peace. |

5 Virginia School Districts Found Guilty in Title IX Violation Investigation. Is Oregon Next? |

After launching an investigation in February, the Department of Education (DOE) announced Friday that five Virginia county school districts are in violation of Title IX for sex discrimination. The department's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) investigation found they all prioritized so-called "gender identity" over biological reality by allowing biological males - identifying as females - to enter private female spaces such as bathrooms and locker rooms. |

Kaiser Permanente Halts Gender Transition Surgeries on Minors |

Kaiser Permanente hospitals will "pause surgical treatment for patients under the age of 19" effective August 29, the Oakland, Calif.-based health care giant announced last week, citing "significant risks being created for health systems" by an evolving "legal and regulatory environment." The surgical pause applies to all Kaiser locations nationwide, but the hospital chain will continue to provide gender transition hormones and therapy support. Yet even this modest concession drew stiff criticism from transgender ideologues. |
