It's Lois Frankel, and I know we've all heard a lot about Trump's mission to "curb fraud, waste, and abuse" in the Government, but this is what real fraud, waste, and abuse looks like: ⬇️ |
Instead of delivering critical humanitarian aid for malnourished children and families, the Trump administration has opted to burn and destroy 500 TONS of emergency food expire and almost $10 MILLION DOLLARS worth of contraceptives.
John, this is more than just a waste of taxpayer dollars—it is a moral failure. Women in dozens of countries will be denied birth control, only to watch their babies die of starvation.
When we buy food to feed the hungry, we shouldn't let it rot.
When we fund HIV medicines and vaccines, we should deliver them—not burn or dump them.
We don't abandon people to die when we've got warehouses full of unused supplies.
That's why I helped introduce a bill last week to stop the cruelty, stop the needless waste, and deliver aid to those in need.
But without a House majority, our common-sense bills aren't getting far.
That's why, in addition to flipping districts across the country, defending the seats we already hold in Congress is going to be crucial to stopping the Trump administration in 2026.

Congresswoman Lois Frankel has worked for positive change since her early days as a student protester in the 1960s. Lois is the proud mother to her son Ben who is a United States Marine war veteran, and Lolo to her grandsons. She is also an avid abstract painter who greatly appreciates the arts.
