• Donald Trump won’t be on the ballot in 2026, which is bad news for GOP turnout. 
• Lara Trump was considered a strong contender, but Donald ditched her & endorsed someone else.
• Democrat Josh Stein won last year’s NC gubernatorial race with a resounding 55% of the vote, even outperforming Trump in a tough year for Democrats nationwide.
