Dear John,

You are invited to a party.

On Saturday October 18th, WV Can't Wait is hosting a statewide "homecoming" in Morgantown at the Triune Halleck Fire Hall (1621 Halleck Road). 10:30-3:30pm. If you are someone who gives a damn about West Virginia, this event is for you. Here are a few reasons to attend:
* There will be awesome workshops, including our first Candidate Training 101 of the year, a Mutual Aid Meet-Up, and a Resisting Authoritarianism Workshop
* Yummy, free food -- from local WV chefs :)
* Family fun -- lawn games, free child care, art projects
* A "Cookie" Table -- where folks can share free stuff: resources, stickers, t-shirts, harm reduction and period supplies, and of course cookies

RSVP now at: bit.ly/homecomingcantwait!

Most of all, there's just no better chance to meet, play, and strategize with our state's best organizers, healers, citizen journalists, and elected officials. This is a homecoming for anyone who has been involved with WV Can't Wait in the past... AND for anyone who wants to make a difference in West Virginia and could use a few extra people in your corner.

We've been busy the last few years -- endorsing more than 57 candidates in 2024, governing alongside our 26(!) elected officials now in office across the state, building up our movement safety and mental health programs to keep our people safe, training a couple hundred leaders, and raising more than $2.2 million for more than 90 West Virginia mutual aid groups, training harm reductionists, youth organizers, and citizen journalists. Come to learn more about where we've been and to help shape where we're going.

Can't wait to see you there,

The Can't Wait Homecoming Host Committee
Shanequa Smith, Brittney Barlett, Stephen Smith, Brian Butcher, and Katey Lauer
