Democrats’ best hope of stopping the chaos in Washington is to retake the Senate in 2026, and our race here in NC is set to be the most competitive election next year. We can’t take back the Senate without flipping this seat from red to blue — and The Hill has rated our race the most likely Senate seat to flip.

Here’s something you may not know about me: I’ve already won some of the most competitive elections here in battleground North Carolina. I won my elections for Governor in 2016 and 2020 — the same years that Donald Trump carried the state.

NC is one of the last, true purple states, but we’ve proven together that Democrats can win. We know what we have to do.

As Senator, I will fight for our rights to the ballot box, reproductive health care, cleaner air and water, and more. I will work to make health care more affordable and accessible — not yank it away from those most in need. I’ll advocate for better public schools, more clean energy options, and opportunities for good-paying jobs. I will defend our democracy.
