The new rules require existing facilities subject to, or opting into, the new rules to notify EGLE of the facility's status using the EQP 5150 Form. As of May 5, 2025, the effective date of the new rules, pharmaceuticals can no longer be managed as a universal waste in Michigan. The universal waste designation was rescinded as required under the federal rulemaking.
