Email from OCPAC Uncovering the Charges Against Ryan Walters Published Monday, July 28, 2025 SEND THIS NEWSLETTER TO A FRIEND HERE. BOB LINN RESPONSE TO OKLAHOMA'S FAKE NEWS The huge story all over Oklahoma has been accusations that Ryan Walters watches pornography in his office. (And his accusers lead us to believe it is only now being discovered!) Saturday, I was on two lengthy phone calls with Ryan and learned these things: RYAN WALTERS WILL PRESENT TO THE MEDIA PROOF THAT NONE OF HIS DEVICES CONNECT TO HIS OFFICE TELEVISION Ryan’s office television is not connected to his phone, his laptop, or any other device except the remote control which is lying on Ryan’s desk. This is presently the biggest media hoax which has become the driving engine of the story. The media is hinting that Ryan watches pornography on his devices and it is all linked to his television. This is false information and Ryan Walters, true to his promise to me, published the proof yesterday. In addition, there are no premium channels enrolled on the television in Ryan's office. When Ryan left for the Thursday morning board meeting the television was not turned on. As the board meeting progressed (2 1/2 Hours), there were 48 staffers identified by camera as having walked in and out of Ryan's office. At some point, after 9:30 AM, someone turned the television on to FOX but muted it so as to not risk disturbing the adjacent board meeting. After the board meeting, the board members went to his office for Executive Session. Food was laid out on Ryan’s desk (the same desk where the remote was also lying). While the board members ate (in the presence of the television), Ryan was busy gathering the non-board members needed for the Executive Session. FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, BOARD MEMBERS ARE IN RYAN'S OFFICE WITHOUT RYAN BUT WITH THE TELEVISION & THE REMOTE. It was more than ten minutes later when Ryan entered the room for the first time in nearly four hours. From 9:30 AM to well after 12:00 PM, Ryan Walters was never in the room. Only the 48 staffers, the members of the Oklahoma Board of Education, and the television remote had been in the room. Upon entering his office for the Executive Session, Ryan sat down, his back was to the television. Then suddenly, and not for the duration of time prior, Edmond’s Becky Carson claimed she saw nudity on the television. Ryan turned, saw nothing of the kind, but turned it off. No comments from the board regarding “nudity” ensued. After the conclusion of executive session both Becky Carson and Ryan Deatherage began to coordinate the details of a plan for a Friday media blitz. On Friday they revealed to the media their claim of having witnessed nudity on the television ("witnessed" only after Ryan entered the room). No one else saw anything. Ryan is investigating what appears to be a coordinated scenario from higher places. More will become public next week. The Governor's office controls the access to the analysis on all its devices and Ryan has asked them to expedite the process and make public their findings. FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS ON THE LARGER PICTURE, SEE THE DOMESTICATED WARRIOR _________ No matter what the evidence unveils, this is a blight upon a state in need of growing out of its sophomoric and immature behavior. We need leadership who will help us develop as a people of stature, mature dignity, and intellectual integrity. Jesus is Lord over the political arena, all elements of government, education, and both the past and the future of mankind. Christ's lordship over mankind is a reality that appears to us a stream of history composed of that which seems at times muddy and at other times quite clear. WHEN THE ACTS OF MEN MAKE LIFE DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND Noting life's confusions, on December 18, 2023, I remembered Corrie Ten Boom in the Monday newsletter and published her poem, Life is but a Weaving. The text is a product of her difficulties during Hitler’s reign in Germany which made life appear to be a gnarled confusion of inconceivable human events. Corrie describes the product of those events which produced in her a godly wisdom I have appreciated for the past forty years. At the close of the film The Hiding Place, an epilogue was added. Corrie Ten Boom is filmed, I think in a rocking chair, and she quoted Life is but a Weaving. Forty years ago, it was her humble and quiet demeanor, combined with the profound nature of her life, that was for me a spiritual turning point. The combination in her life of both peace and power led me to prayerfully consider what it meant to walk with God, to be filled with His Spirit, and to walk in the Master's footsteps. (Forty years ago, I was the Campus Crusade for Christ director at the University of Oklahoma.) Corrie's poem resonates in profoundly important ways with another major event from last week in Idaho. Dr. Piper has written a magnificent article in that regard. Here is Dr. Piper’s article from the Washington Times: IDAHO MOM FORGIVES HER DAUGHTER’S MURDERER This week, Cara Northington, the mother of one of the students murdered by Bryan Kohberger at the University of Idaho, made headline news, not because of her protests or her politics and not because of an understandable or perhaps expected hatred of the man who killed her daughter, but rather for three simple words: I forgive you. Here, in part, is what Mrs. Northington said at the sentencing of her daughter’s assailant. I [will] not let you rent space in my head anymore… Jesus has allowed me to forgive you… Forgiveness has released me from any and all evil you have inflicted on me and my family. And thus, a woman that none of us had ever heard of before reminds the world that the only cure for all that ails us is found in the simple choice that each of us can make to forgive. Christ himself highlights this imperative when he says, If you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT? WHY DOES JESUS PRESENT FORGIVENESS IN SUCH NONNEGOTIABLE TERMS? First, it’s because we all need it. None of us is really any better than anyone else. “There is none righteous, no not one” (Romans 3:10) and “Christ came to save sinners [of which you and I are] chief among them.” (1 Timothy 1:15) In other words, if we think we have the moral high ground to “cast the first stone” we are “deceiving ourselves and making God out to be a liar.” (1 John 1:8,10) Second, forgiveness is not only a biblical mandate, but it is also a prerequisite for human development. Psychology 101 teaches that those who refuse to forgive never mature. They become stuck in the past and never grow beyond a point in time, perhaps even years ago, when they were offended or hurt. They never move on. They never grow up. And as a result, they become a walking and talking caricature of the immature emotions they’ve chosen to imbibe. C. S. Lewis describes this in The Great Divorce when he tells of a woman who had grumbled for so long about things done to her decades earlier that she actually became little more than a “perpetual grumble.” “The question is whether she is a grumbler, or only a grumble,” says Lewis. “[Is] there a real woman—even the least trace of one—still there inside the grumbling, [that] can be brought to life again..?” He goes on, “It begins with a [sin], and yourself still distinct from it: perhaps criticizing it. [But], in a dark hour, [you choose to] embrace it. Ye can repent and come out of it again. But there may come a day when you can do that no longer. Then there will be no you left to criticize the [sin], but just the grumble itself going on forever like a machine.” The key is this. Those who are desperate for mercy should be merciful to others. Those who need love should show love to all who are unloving. Those who want to stop hate must stop hating. And those who need forgiveness (and don’t we all?) must first forgive. If we fail to do so, our identity becomes indistinct from the dark brooding that takes over our souls. Cara Northington’s simple words from an Idaho courtroom remind us all that we can and must rise above our emotions of resentment and revenge. We don’t have to let our feelings control us. We don’t have to be enslaved by perpetual victimization and resentment. We do not have to be held in bondage by the sins of others and the sins we find in ourselves. WE CAN FORGIVE. WE CAN BE FORGIVEN. WE CAN BE SAVED! Saved from anger. Saved from self-righteousness. Saved from ourselves! Martin Luther once said, “For still our ancient foe, doth seek to work us woe; His craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate, on earth is not his equal.” John Newton later cried out, “There are two things I know: I am a great sinner, and Jesus is a great savior... Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.” The cycle of “cruel hate” is broken only by grace: God’s toward you, and yours toward others. And grace is made real only through the act of forgiveness. Before you go about your day be sure to sign up for Dr. Piper's free podcast here. Video clips are below. For some time, I have needed a sabbatical to catch up on my reading, to reflect, and to think more seriously about my writing. For that reason, we are taking an extended summer break and will resume September 17 at the Oklahoma History Center. We now have an event team who will assist in our meetings which will oversee the September 17 meeting with Our Oklahoma Supreme Court Chief Justice. Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft will be our guest in November. In 2026, we will conduct weekly meetings in the spring, from February to May, in an effort to provide meaningful content for our legislators.
