Friends, I want to talk to you about our great Democratic nominee for Attorney General, Jay Jones.
Jay is a former Virginia lawmaker and attorney who’s running to protect VA families from crime, corporate overreach and fraud, and extreme agendas that put our rights at risk.
He comes from a long legacy of fighting for Virginians. Jay is the grandson of a civil rights attorney who was the first Black person to be appointed to the Virginia Board of Education in the history of the Commonwealth and the son of a longtime VA state delegate and a family court judge. And like his family, he’s committed to ensuring Virginia is a place where everyone can succeed.
But Jay will be facing a tough battle this November against incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares.
Miyares is a rubber-stamp for Trump’s MAGA agenda, including the devastating mass firing of federal workers that had serious impacts on Virginia’s huge federal workforce.
What’s more, a Trump-backed super PAC has just invested a six-figure sum in advertising supporting Miyares.
