Team — Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers announced that he won’t seek reelection in 2026. While I’m saddened to hear this, I’m grateful for Governor Evers’ service.
Our state motto is simply “Forward,” and Gov. Evers embodied that commitment to progress every single day.
From joining me on the road last year to hear directly from Wisconsin families to working together to secure our tech hub designation and $49 million to create jobs and grow our biohealth economy, Gov. Evers strived to propel our state forward as a national leader.
It was a pleasure and a privilege to work together and guide our state toward innovation. On behalf of my office, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and Wisconsinites — I thank Gov. Evers for his years of hard work and service.
Now, we have to ensure that his successor measures up.
National Republicans will see Gov. Evers’ retirement as a pickup opportunity, but we have to hold the line. Electing a strong, Democratic governor in 2026 is the best way to defend our state from Republicans who want to drag us backward.
Split a donation between my campaign and the Wisconsin Democratic Party so we can elect a governor who keeps our state moving forward.
