Our movement knows we’re on the right side of history — and we’ve got leaders like Bernie Sanders and Zohran Mamdani leading the charge to put power back in the hands of We the People. |
That’s why Our Revolution is focused on building grassroots power to Fight Trump & the Oligarchs with this three-point strategy: |
- Fight the Oligarch Agenda - from Capitol Hill to City Halls - and fight FOR an agenda that delivers for poor and working people
-
Elect Progressive Champions up and down the ballot who are committed to breaking the power of oligarchs
- Get Oligarch Money out of Democratic primaries and eliminate in the influence of corporations, billionaires and consultants in our political process
|
Read on below to learn more about how we’re leaning into our mission and fighting on all 3 fronts! |
|
|
Trump continues to slash healthcare and critical programs, defund public media and pad his pockets - and those of his benefactors - with massive tax breaks and brazen crypto schemes. Inspired by Bernie, WE ARE FIGHTING BACK — on Capitol Hill and in the streets! |
Our Revolution’s Citizen Action Team is taking bold action to confront the worst of the Trump agenda. We delivered 70,000 petitions directly to Senate offices, demanding they reject Trump’s brutal budget cuts, and we organized dozens of lobby visits - including with GOP Senators like Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins - on Capitol Hill.
|
We’ve also held rallies across the country and even marched outside Trump’s luxury golf resort — where he was dining with crypto billionaires.
We’re not letting up. In fact, we’re escalating! |
HITTING THE STREETS - AND SUBWAYS - FOR ZOHRAN! |
In the final days of the NYC mayoral election, Our Revolution made over 60,000 calls and texts to Get Out the Vote for Zohran. Our volunteers also fanned out across the city — talking to undecided voters in the subways at rush hour and crowd canvassing in key battlegrounds like Harlem, Sunset Park, the Upper East Side, and Co-Op City.
|
And we weren’t alone — former US Rep. Jamaal Bowman joined us on the ground, connecting with his former constituents and rallying New Yorkers citywide. His trusted voice moved voters that we might not have reached otherwise.
It was people-powered, passionate, and exactly what our movement is all about! |
Unfortunately, the fight isn’t finished. Our Revolution activists are demanding that the Democratic Establishment unite behind Zohran. We recently delivered over 30,000 petitions to holdouts like NY Sen. Kristen Gillibrand to call on her to apologize for unfairly attacking Zohran and to officially endorse him. |
“Democratic leaders love to talk about unity—until a progressive wins. Every cycle, we’re told to fall in line for the good of the party,” Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese told ABC News.
“Well, Zohran Mamdani is the nominee—and yet the establishment’s silence is deafening,” he continued. “It’s time for party leaders to live up to their own standards and stand with Zohran against these billionaire-funded attempts to undo the will of the voters.” |

Just last week, Our Revolution-backed candidate Adelita Grijalva won the Democratic primary for Congress in Arizona’s 7th District.
She isn’t just carrying the progressive legacy of her father, Rep. Raúl Grijalva — she blazed her own trail as progressive policy leader on the Tucson City Council member and as a former school board president. |
At Our Revolution’s Fight the Oligarchy Town Hall this past Monday, over 50,000 activists came together to strategize to elect our three newly-endorsed candidates: Donavan McKinney (MI), Robert Peters (IL) and Troy Jackson (ME) — all working class champions backed by Bernie Sanders.
|
Our Revolution is backing Donavan McKinney in his race for Congress (MI CD-13) against Democratic incumbent and self-funded millionaire Shri Thanedar, who voted to thank ICE and backs crypto deregulation.
“I grew up poor, not knowing where my next meal was coming from,” Donovan shared. “In 10th grade, my mom was crying because another young black kid was murdered in our neighborhood. She looked me in the eyes and said, ‘You have to survive.’ That moment made me realize we need to fight for a better community.”
As a State Rep, Donavan has gone toe-to-toe with powerful Oligarchs — he’s introduced legislation to ban monopoly utility money in politics and pushed fellow Democrats to reject corporate cash from state contractors.
|
Our Revolution endorsed Robert Peters in his bid to win an open seat in Congress representing Illinois’ 2nd district.
As a State Senator, Robert advocated for economic and criminal justice reforms and won: Passing laws to end cash bail, strengthen labor protections, and make sure public resources go to the public — not to enrich Oligarchs.
At our Town Hall, he pledged to take this fight to Capitol Hill: “Nobody should worry about healthcare, food, or housing. We need to restore dignity to working people and stand up to billionaires who put profits before people.” |
Our Revolution is supporting Troy Jackson’s run for Governor of Maine based on his track record as a labor leader who stood up to the timber titans and took on powerful corporate interests as State Senate President.
His commitment to working people started young. “When I was a kid, my dad was on strike. The landowner told workers: Go back to work now, or be replaced tomorrow. That’s when I learned how little the rich think of us.”
Troy took that lesson to the State Capitol, leading the charge to take on Big Pharma and greedy insurance companies, crack down on corporate tax breaks, and protect elections from out-of-state billionaires.
Now, he’s running to lead the state and deliver power back to the people — and take it away from the billionaires and corporate lobbyists who’ve rigged the system for too long. |

NEW SURVEY RESULTS ARE IN! |
A new survey of 5000+ Our Revolution members show - once again - that there is a crisis of confidence in Democratic leadership, stemming from years of corporate influence and a failure to be an effective opposition party to Trump and the Oligarchs. - 87% feel let down or frustrated by Party leaders
- 68% are pessimistic about Dems’ “Project 2029”
-
95% say listen to the grassroots not consultants
- 90% say Dems win when they embody change & inspire with bold ideas
|
“Time and again, our base is demanding something much deeper: a party that actually fights for us and not the wealthy elites,” Our Revolution executive director Joseph Geevarghese told the media. |
DON’T PARTY WITH OLIGARCH MONEY! |
The survey results underscore the important work Our Revolution leaders are doing inside the Party to Get Big Money Out of Democratic Primaries. |
At Our Revolution’s Fight the Oligarchy Town Hall on Monday, Larry Cohen, Our Revolution Board Chair & DNC member, unveiled a new effort to ban outside Big Money independent expenditures in Democratic primaries. “Voters—not billionaires—should decide our candidates,” he noted. Read his piece in BarnRaiser here.
Larry introduced Susheela Jayapal, an Our Revolution endorsed candidate who ran for Congress in Oregon’s 3rd District, to talk about how outside money hijacked her race. “Billionaires spent $6 million to defeat me,” she said. “Voters never got to hear my message through the flood of attack ads.” Momentum to ban Big Money is growing. Arizona Democrats just passed a rule to block outside spending in primaries—and with Our Revolution’s backing, new DNC Vice Chair Ken Martin will bring a similar resolution to the national party this August. “This is a winnable fight,” said Jane Kleeb, DNC Vice-Chair and Our Revolution Board Member said at the Town Hall, “but only if we organize. The future of the party—and who it serves—is on the line.” |
As the Democratic establishment turns once again to consultants and billionaire donors to plan their Project 2029 strategy and agenda, our movement is growing larger and louder — and working for transformative change.
Leaders like Zohran Mamdani prove that our progressive priorities and organizing model is what earns trust and wins elections.
“What’s moving people is not poll-tested platitudes,” Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese said. “It’s unapologetic leadership that centers working people and takes on corporate greed. From Mamdani in New York to grassroots organizers in Michigan, the path forward is being charted by people who know that democracy doesn’t trickle down—it rises up.” |
