Hey there, I’m back on the road and wanted to send you an update.

I am in Dayton, OH for another red state town hall later today. Next weekend, we’re planning a massive rally in Phoenix, AZ. I’ll share more about why these events matter in a moment, but first, I need to ask:

I made a promise at the start of this year to do all that I can to fight back against Trump’s corruption, authoritarianism and billionaire giveaways. And these events are an important part of that.

My fear is that still too many people in Washington still believe we can simply weather the chaos until Trump’s term is over. They refuse to see what I see.

What Trump and Republicans are doing right now is an existential threat to our democracy. They are giving power to billionaires and allowing Trump to move closer and closer to installing himself as a king.

But history tells us that mass mobilization beats a would-be autocrat. So that’s why I’m spending so much of my time and my campaign’s resources organizing these events. I believe this moment demands a massive grassroots opposition.

But the reality is that it takes significant resources to do these events and organize people all across the country, and I refuse to take a dime from PACs or corporations to help fund them. I won’t participate in a culture that allows corporations and the ultra-wealthy to buy power to further rig the system in their favor.
